Basically I am unsure how much power I will need for my system. I plan to run with one 4850 X2 video card, 6 sticks of 2GB DDR3, an i7 920, 2 SATA hard drives, 1 DVD RW drive, and maybe a Blu-Ray reader and SS drive. I want to make sure I have plenty of headroom for overclocking. I did a power estimate at http://extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine and got a recommendation of 672W. These are two power supplies I am looking at:

OCZ StealthXStream OCZ700SXS 700W - $80 minus without $20 rebate
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16817341019

Output:
+3.3V@36A,
+5V@30A,
+12V1@18A,+12V2@18A,+12V3@18A, +12V4@18A,
-12V@0.8A,
+5VSB@3.0A

I am unsure if I should add up these four rails to 72A for +12V to compare to the Corsair PSU:

CORSAIR CMPSU-850TX 850W - $140 without $20 rebate
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16817139009

Output:
+3.3V@30A,
+5V30A,
+12V@70A,
-12V@0.8A,
+5VSB@3A

If someone has a good recommendation for another PSU I would very much appreciate it!

Thank you for your help.

The Corsair is definitely better quality and has considerably more 12V amps (the OCZ is actually 50A max).

My suggestion would be to replace the 4850x2 with a 4890, roughly the same performance and no CF issues. In this case I would recommend a Corsair HX520.

Also 6 sticks of RAM will limit your OCing a little more than 3; unless you really need 12GB, go with 6GB.

Also, you can almost certainly get by with the 650W or 750W Corsairs for a bit less money.

I have the HX520 that has been powering my rig for almost 2 1/2 years

GA-965p-DS3
e4300 @ 3.0
4x1GB of gskill DDR2 RAM
2x74GB Raptors

Recently added a MSI 4890 and it's running solid.

The HX520 is a modular PSU which is pretty nice.

To give you an idea of the kind of power you need:

I run Phenom II 940 @ 3.7ghz
4GB of Mushkin XP2-8500
790FX Chipset
HD4890
HD4870
Asus Xonar DX
3 hard drives and 2 optical drives

I do this with a PC P&C 610 watt and it works flawlessly.
