1394 & USB2 Cardbus Adaptor

Hello to all,
I need everyone's help on this adaptor. My laptop always hangup every time I inserted this card. If I got lucky that it will boot up, one of its driver stated exclamation on device manager. I just want to take advantage of the speed of the USB2, but it just gettin frustrating to deal with this. Any one can help me. My laptop configuration is as follows:

HP Pavillion N5170
OS= Window ME
Ram= 256 Meg

By the way, I remove and reload the driver so many times and still did not work. As a matter of fact, I also reformat my hard drive and reload every driver and application, but i still had the same problem.

Might be lack of resources? Try disabling your CD rom or Floppy Drive in Device Manager and see if that allows you to use the card.
