These Master Replicas never come with batteries though that would have been nice since you need about $10-$15 worth for this sword depending on where you buy them.

Wow cool.
A quick google search shows this link: http://www.theonering.net/scrapbook/group/1413/range/1
Has a bunch of higher res shots of the glow and non glow. And on the 2nd page is the box, which DOES look dang cheesy lol. Now I'll know what to look for The shots are all availible in 1600x1200 as well as the default they are at first. There's a little link under each pic when you view it.

I just returned from a TRU in Baltimore and all they had was an "Electronic Light 'N' Sound Sting Sword" for $14.98. Didn't see anything about Master Replicas, just Toy Biz and Marvel. Takes 2 "AA" batteries. Doesn't sound like the same item to me.
It's pretty neat, very much like the effect of a Timex Indiglo watch, only over the entire blade.Originally posted by: jagec
[whoa, that IS pretty nice. How do they get it to look like solid metal, yet glow uniformly?

Sucess!! I found 5 at a store one state over in PA. Got piggish and tried another store at a mall nearby, no luck. I agree with the previous guy who said for the MSLP of $120, you'd think they'd include batteries. Guess that's why they are now selling for $50....
Glad I got em for $15. At $15, I'll spring for the batteries...

Since some of you are buying quite a few of these, perhaps you should take advantage of the volume discount on these batteries too;-)
