I'd still recommend getting a 1000' foot roll for like 50 bucks from home depot or something and buying some connectors and a crimper... lifetime supply plus enough to make some cables and sell them to friends and whatnot for a huge profit
Or go to a construction site for some high-tech company and take their leftovers.
Making your own cable isn't exactly ENTIRELY cheap either. Crimpers are pretty expensive, $25 - $50 for the ones i see everywhere. Anyone find cheaper crimpers? the cable is cheap though. I think everyone should get a wireless LAN going. Wireless LAN cards are like 100 bucks!
