Well, true, but value aside, if I had the choice of driving one or the other, I'd take the Accent.

Some of you guys... if you don't like the car there's no need to disrespect the people that do. I like the car, and I think I'm far from white trash. Can't we all just get along?

Yup. Most of the kids around here think it's garbage if the make doesn't end in a vowel.

amish

Camaro ends in a vowel the last time I checked.

*sigh* That's the problem with such a sweet car. I'd be afraid to drive it.
Mind you if I was a millionare I'd buy it.

To all of you 'tards like Evil1: saying a Yenko Camaro is white trash like the modern V6 Camaros (cuz the trash can't afford the SS models), is like saying that a SVT Cobra R is a Mustang. Same badging, far different car under the panels.

This car is as rare and sought after as a Dodge Superbird, Ford GT40, or Shelby Cobra. We're talking 1 of less than 500.

It'd be worth quite a bit if it were rusted out with no interior left and the block having thrown a rod.

Why can't these people type normally? Why do they always have everything in caps?

Simply amazing...I find it amusing that the garage has a Viper painted on the wall. Wonder how many of those he has

And didn't they make (and destroy) a bunch of replica Yenkos for F&F2? Thought I remember those in the pics.

I won't profess to know much about muscle cars, but unless that just rolled off the assembly line in the 50-60's I would not pay that much for it. I couldn't fathom driving a classic car like that knowing at any moment some idiot in his 12k civic could send it to the wreckage yard.

Cars like that are bought to be showecased at car shows, trailered to and from no doubt.

great car, but not worth 140k, here's why:

THE HISTORY OF THIS CAR HAS ALWAYS BEEN THAT THIS CAR HAD A CE BLOCK BUT AFTER SPEAKING TO THE GENTLEMAN WHO DID THE RESTORATION HE INFORMED ME THAT IT WAS IN FACT IS A CORRECT DATE CODED 427 MN ENGINE BUT NOT ORIGINAL TO THIS CAR.

block isn't original for those who can't stand the caps
Thanks for pointing that out, as my eyes wouldn't work through the all-caps (still watering), but (IIRC) Yenko replaced the original engines that came from the GM factory with an all-aluminum 427, so this engine would be the original Yenko engine. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You are wrong. For 1969 Yenko ordered them with the 427 engine, not a swap, and it wasn't the aluminum block engine. The aluminum engine was called the ZL-1 and was over a $4000 option just by itself. This car on ebay shows the sticker price to be less than $4000 so it can't have the aluminum block, and it isn't the proper block anyway.

http://www.supercar1.com/About_Us/Yenko_History/yenko_history.html

on a related note, only cars in 1969 could be had with the ZL-1 engine. Only 69 Camaros and 2 Corvettes were sold to the public with the ZL-1 engine. Here's one vette:

something else about "my friends ride the bus. "

The Dead Milkmen!

Bitchin' Camaro

Rod - Hey Jack, what's happenin'?
Joe - Oh, I don't know.
Rod - Well, rumor around town says you think you might be heading down to the shore.
Joe - Uh, yeah, I think I'm goin' down to the shore.
Rod - Whatcha gonna do down there?
Joe - Uh, I don't know, play some video games, buy some Def Leppard t-shirts.
Rod - Hey, don't forget to get your Motley Crue t-shirt, y'know, all proceeds go to get their lead singer out of jail.
Joe - Uh huh.
Rod - Hey, you gonna check out the Sandbar while you're there?
Joe - Uh, what's the Sandbar?
Rod - Oh, it's this place that lets sixteen year-old kids drink.
Joe - Oh, cool.
Rod - Y'know who's gonna be there?
Joe - Uh, who?
Rod - My favorite cover band, Crystal Shit.
Joe - Oh.
Rod - Yeah, they do a Doors show, you'd be really impressed, in fact, it goes a little like this:

Love me two times baby
Love me twice today
Love me two times girl
Cause I got AIDS
Love me two times baby, once for tomorrow, once cause I got AIDS

Joe - Wow, Pretty good Jim Morrison impersonation there.
Rod - Yeah, I hope those guys have a good sense of humor and don't take us to court.
Joe - Uh, what's the court?
Rod - Never mind that,
Joe - Oh, you mean like the People's Court?
Rod - Well, that's another story; the important thing here is you gotta ask me how I'm gonna get down to the shore.
Joe - Uh, how you gonna get down to the shore?
Rod - Funny you should ask, I've got a car now.
Joe - Oh wow, how'd you get a car?
Rod - Oh my parents drove it up here from the Bahamas.
Joe - You're kidding!
Rod - I must be, the Bahamas are islands, okay, the important thing now, is that you ask me what kind of car I have.
Joe - Uh, what kinda car do ya' got?
Rod - I've got a BITCHIN CAMARO!

BITCHIN CAMARO, BITCHIN CAMARO
I ran over my neighbors
BITCHIN CAMARAO, BITCHIN CAMARO
Now it's in all the papers.
My folks bought me a BITCHIN CAMARO with no insurance to match;
So if you happen to run me down, please don't leave a scratch.
I ran over some old lady one night at the county fair;
And I didn't get arrested, because my dad's the mayor.
BITCHIN CAMARO, BITCHIN CAMARO
Doughnuts on your lawn
BITCHIN CAMARO, BITCHIN CAMARO
Tony Orlando and Dawn
When I drive past the kids, they all spit and cuss,
Because I've got a BITCHIN CAMARO and they have to ride the bus.
So you'd better get out of my way, when I run through your yard;
Because I've got a BITCHIN CAMARO;
And an Exxon credit card.
BITCHIN CAMARO, BITCHIN CAMARO
Hey, man where ya headed?
BITCHIN CAMARO, BITCHIN CAMARO
I drive on unleaded

Having driven a 1967 Camaro SS with a (brand new) chevy 350 for a few miles, let me just say you have no idea what you are missing. Especially with a manual. Now I just need to talk him into another ride in it now that he has it supercharged

My dad always said the 327 was the better engine. He used to have a 1967 Camaro RS with a 327, and he said he had no problem beating a 350.

Too bad he doesn't have it anymore. He loved that car, and kept it in mint condition. But then he joined the Army for a few years. Left it with his brother in law and told him to start up the engine every week, but don't drive it.

Comes back and the car is totaled
