15% off crucial.com dead?

I just tried clicking on the link for crucial 15% off memory and the link is dead! Does that means it's over or is the server down?

Prices are up probably because one of the main chipmakers said they will quit the memory chip business. I remember reading that in the WSJ somewhere a few days ago.

pricewatch.com....you can find Micron 256MB 184 DIMM for $44 versus the $69 that crucial was asking, with similiar savings on other types of memory.

I cna't belive that prices have doubled since I last ordered in October

Crucial is not the deal it once was.

Make sure you not just looking at the price of the memeory. Crucial ships 2nd day free and I've not heard any horror stories about returning product. Has anyone ever dealt with AmeriComp, Inc who is selling the 256K DDR memory for slightly cheaper after adding in shipping costs. Oh and its for phone orders only so you don't have any documentation to back up your order just a sales persons word.

If crucial ram is not made by Micron, I'd really be surprised. Why would a division of Micron that sells ram, buy it from someone else. Or even if they did buy it from someone else and call it Crucial, why would Micron ram be anything different than the ram that is obtained for Crucial???

Anyone have anything definite on this??
