15" Powerbook- Aluminum vs. Titanium

What's the difference between the aluminum and the titanium versions of Apple's 15" Powerbook?

The titanium is an older version. Since the last model of the Ti came out (think there was only one model actually) there have been 3 revisions of Al books. The first was 1 or 1.25ghz/1.33ghz I believe... second was 1.33/1.5ghz and the third was 1.5/1.67ghz which is the current revision.

The finish of the Ti books appears to wear off, especially on the metal frame around the keyboard area.

Generally they are older.

I think that as long as you can live with the optical wear the sweetest used Poerbook deal is one of the first DVI models, with 667 or 800 MHz with 1 MB cache, 15" widescreen, Radeon 7500, gigabit ethernet, wireless slot. They can be had for $700 for the 667 model. if you want widescreen in a Al Powerbook you pay very big bucks.

The TiBook's look a lot sexier then the AlBooks IMO, but theres no point in getting one now, as they're older and tend to have paint chipping problems.
