Know this thread is a little stale, but I think this is the most relevant place to share this info, and I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience...
Have NOT received my $150 Visa Gift card yet, after calling the bank several times. I signed up in May, made my first purchase around the end of the month, and was supposed to get the gift card in 8-10 weeks or thereabouts. I called Charles Schwab about a week or two ago and asked them why they haven't sent me a card, and for whatever reason it wasn't processed and sent despite the fact that I was owed one. So, the person I was talking to said she'd put in a request and I should have the card in about 7 days. It's been past then, so I called them again to see what's up. They said that due to overwhelming demand, they RAN OUT OF STOCK on the Visa check cards. A credit card company ran out of stock on credit cards. That's insane. Regardless, they said they were waiting to get more in, and it would be ANOTHER 6-8 weeks before I would get a card. As compensation, the account manager said she'd give me a $10 credit on my account, but that was it.
I'm closing this account as soon as I get the gift card, I'd rather not deal with this kind of customer service.
