I have a Dell 9100, no floppy and no ps/2 keyboard port...

I've made a boot CD with my other computer, which has both a floppy and ps/2 keyboard port. I try to boot my 9100 with it but my USB keyboard does not work and I'm not sure why. Is it because I DID NOT create the boot CD with the 9100? I've tried plugging the USB keyboard into each of my USB ports but nothing works.

I would be willing to install a floppy in the 9100 if I was sure that would work. Does anybody know about this sort of thing and could offer advice?

If nothing else, is there any way for me to flash my GTO2 within WinXP that would be safe?

Thank you for any help,
George -bub

I don't think it would have anything to do with the CD...I'm assuming that the bootable CD you made may not have a USB driver or something of that nature to run the keyboard...(this is just a guess)

I know the 9100 doesn't have a PS2 connector either...hmm...

Lol. Assuming you're talking about core speed, that's still a 25% overclock

Please explain as to how a 6800GT @ 6800Ultra speeds faster than a 6800Ultra ???????
Shouldn't they be the same ?

Since the price of most 6800GTs is ~$300, he should be easily able to sell his "6800GT @ 6800Ultra" for ~$300 and get this for ~205 (or ~220 if taxed) and pocket $80 and get roughly the same performance. (+/- 5% performance difference is negligible in my opinion)

6800GT's have tigher memory timings than Ultras, so technically a 6800GT @ Ultra clocks will be faster than an actual Ultra.

He quoted used prices because he was talking about the person selling the 6800GT he already had. He wasn't talking about starting from scratch.

How did you find out? I ordered Saturday AM. I got an automated email saying order received and website still shows "In Process" for what that's worth. From what I read somewhere, you never get any confirmation and the goods (if they show up) just seem to appear. How do I know if it's a "no-go" and to reorder elsewhere?

Hmmmm.... this has a different model number than all the other sites... Is this the fireblade edition that can't be flashed to unlock the pipes and has 2.0ns memory?

Damn you, why couldn't you have spoken up earlier? I just finished my order from them... I hope it's just the difference between the OEM and the Retail version...

I tried to get through using their online system, but I guess they just left for the day. You guys ordered this past Friday? I guess if yours got cancelled, mine will too. Should I go ahead and order from Directon? I really don't want to miss out on this, but don't know....

Stupid me for being an optimist!

Just got mine from newegg. Ordered @ $223, E-mailed them to ask for $20 credit when they dropped it to $199. (Woot, nice customer service). Slapped on the ATI Silencer.

Unlocked it without a problem. Just a word of caution, I had an old ATI Tool (0.24) and it wasn't detecting the card's pipe currectly (saying it had 8 pipes on). After getting the latest 0.25 beta 8, it detected it correctly. The fan control and temp monitoring were also busted if you used older ATI Tool.

Played 20min of DoD:Source @ 520/1600 speed. The temp maxed out at 62*C core. I had about 30-60 fps on a busy DoD_Flash. My res was 1650x1080 with 8x AF and max details (HDR was off).

Doesnt look like it. I think technically the "Fireblade" edition is the one with the R480 cores, as even ATIs site says it can clock very well. According to directrons description: FireBlade Edition is equipped with 256MB of 1.6ns 256-bit GDDR3 memory, that when combined with the Sapphire TRIXX overclocking tool push default clock speeds to 560MHz or better, depending on system conditions.

And newegg pulled their product page for it... "We apologize for the inconvenience, but the item you are looking for has been deactivated. Here are some similar products that you may wish to consider:"

Added to Allstarshop's description:

Usually ships same day (Limit 2 per order)

Kris added this earlier to the first post if you missed it:

Update: Sapphire tells me this is a limited quantity SKU. There might not be anymore. The PM is checking for me now.

I would hate to buy this card to only be buying a normal card.
