$160 Dell P2414H 24" IPS Monitor 1080p @Newegg

Was looking at this post for a U Series 1200p 24" Dell ($234): http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2409042

Noticed a 1080P Dell IPS is also on sale, until 11/24, $160 after a $50 promo code "EMCWWWB36".
Prefer a 1200p or a 27" 1440p, but this might fit the budget better for some of us.

That image is somewhat misleading in this case...here, since we're talking about 1920x1200 vs. 1920x1080, 16:9 and 16:10 are exactly the same width in pixels, but the 16:10 is taller (in this case, by 120 pixels). The diagram makes the 16:10 look narrower. This gets complicated in a hurry if you want to talk about pixel size/pitch, but basically, here, you're talking about a $73 difference for a small but noticeable increase in screen height. Both are IPS (this one is AH-IPS, the 2412 is E-IPS), and both are 6-bit panels. The 2412 is slightly brighter.
