Rebate expires today anyway...

I got one of these a couple of weeks ago when Outpost had this deal and I'm very happy with the drive. Now I'd like to get another. Seems to me since that previous rebate is expired and this is a new one, I am eligible for this new rebate even though this one and the previous one say limit 1 per houeshold. Can anyone familiar with Seagate rebates confirm this? I'd hate to buy the drive and then have my rebate denied in a couple of months. Thanks

As long as receipt is dated today still a good deal... not sure about Seagate drives though.

Seagate drives are the best ATA drives you can buy.
5 year warranty.

Hold on to copies of all your MIR rebate paperwork. I had two of these Seagate MIRs denied on absolutely spurious grounds and had to spend an anxious half hour on the phone to straighten it out. They will deny these rebates at the drop of a hat.
Seagate is having serious financial problems and probably won't be around in 5 years to honor any extended warranties, so I wouldn't count on that.
FWIW, I'd had two 80 GB Barricudas go bad in the last couple of years. The first one took its OS with it, and I barely got most of my data off it. Both drives were from the same retailer and presumably from the same batch, so I wasn't surprised when the second one developed a bad sector. A low level format seemed to cure the bad sector, but I still need to RMA the sucker, since I no longer trust it.
