I've become quiet after the death of Seti@home and my brief look for "what's next?" didn't exit me I have a few CPUs I can throw at something but I'm weak in the GPU arena. Let me know what you need. The holiday are over and I can get 5 or 6 computers going

ANY GPU will be better than almost all your CPU's put together. For cancer and covid research ! But a few CPU's can't hurt either.

My 5950x is down ATM, due to the fact, I had a main video card in my gaming system, and I needed the 9800+

Well, the 5950x is back, but the circuit breaker blew on the 2990wx circuit. Lost 20 million ppd for a few minutes, back though. Not turning the 2990wx back on, not loosing any more points.

BTW, this is how close I am on my power management. I am close enough, that even though the computer was on and running a 2060, turning the cores on blew the circuit. I have 5 circuits 3 of the 5 have 4 computers on them, the other 2 have 3 each, heavy hitters. Thats how my 18 are distributed. The circuit that blew has a 7d12 and 2080TI, a 7452 and a 2080TI, a 7401 and a 3080TI, and the 2990wx only runing the 2060. 15 amp circuit.

Wow, what an exchange of blows And the Moonshot Gang just won't budge, they even increased their lead again, kudos! They really seem to enjoy their role as the hunted... a little more than 4 days for us to outrun them... This'll be quite an exciting rest of the week! With their current pace, they are their own worst enemy... Will they make a mistake and crow too soon? We're unscrupulous and would take the lead from them even directly in front of the finish line But of course we would also accept any other outcome and accept and even celebrate the Moonshot Gang as the victors, if that's going to be the final result (not like a certain race driver who seems to be a very sore loser). Not that we would like that, but that is no criterion But for now, we keep chasing them with all we've got, trying to stay close on them, ready to deliver the final blow if we get the chance (big if here)

Cheer on, cheering gerbils, we still have a few more days to race

I am over 29 BILLION total. It would have been nice to hit 30 billion in the race, but its 17 more days and we have 5.

I cancelled my 3080ti order last week since it was delayed until Mid January. *thump my nose at Dell*
They have a intel rig with DDR5 4400Mhz so I'm contemplating that instead of the previous config..
So crazy when you see the small margin between the 3090 and 3080ti, but the difference in price.. I can see why most opt for the 3080ti.
**All chips are in on this end.. I don't have anymore rigs or cards to deploy ATM.

I know the pain, I can't turn on anything more, but its only CPUs anyway, and I have one doing almost 700k ! (the 5950x)

I have not checked every host, but no additional hosts have been added since I have been running 60 million ppd. Until now. 68 million ? I checked, and all are close to norm, but all 2080TI are 5 mil min, and a couple as high as 6. Just looks all cards are doing max ppd, but probably not for long.

It seems you might be doing 700k ppd (although figures are all over the place!), and I'm still doing 400k ppd, despite adding my CPU which should've added ~100k ppd! wth!?? (although the client is saying nearly 500k ppd atm). My HD 7870 XT should add ~200k ppd.... well I suppose I could slow your escape down!

What a race, we're nearing the final lap, pedal to the metal, revving beyond the scale, and the Moonshot Gang still manage to keep increasing their lead Astonishing Is their fuel legitimate? Or are they on the Lightning McQueen strategy (no tires, just gas)? If so, they might have forgotten how that strategy worked out... or they have a really long tongue

But at least it seems we're closing the gap in production slowly but surely! Maybe we'll find us in a deadlock tomorrow... But even if we manage to do that, then we would still have to equalize their lead... with just a few days remaining... It'll be hard... very hard... But well, things much more unlikely have happened... We won't give up until the very end Once a cheering gerbil, always a cheering gerbil!

Also, last year's December total points have been topped
