I hope cards that are twice as fast as these come out tomorrow, and I hope they cost $10 a piece. Know why?
Because I'm not stupid enough to care if I have the fastest rig on the board, or how long what I paid seems like a good price.

From what I can tell, the only difference in ATI multi GPU rendering is now the tiling (an inefficient form of SLI one of nVidia's driver programmers told me they rejected early on)
One thing that works well right now is SuperTiling. Except for some random display corruption when switching modes, SuperTiling looked alright and ran with good speed.

I would never let you be my financial advisor. If what you say is true... you suck at shopping/ business.

Good effort, Rollo. It's a shame we can't really discuss your experience here. Nonetheless, thanks for the screenshots, they look amazing.

I'm amazed, we are still on the first page and already a flame war is happening.
Yeah it was pretty criminal of me to post my first experiences with the new SLI AA. I can see why that would anger people on a video card forum.

Thanks. I've never really used above 4XAA, I have to admit it looks pretty nice. It also definitely adds a lot to the SLI "value" IMO if you play older games at all that already run lightning fast at pretty high settings.

What is not factual information about what you quoted?
1.nVidia doesn't have tiling, an nV engineer told me they rejected it early on due to it not being a good form of SLI.
I don't think the bolded part has been proven to be factual. I'm sure you'll forgive us if at this point we don't take either IHV's word about the other's hardware--or even their own.Originally posted by: Rollo

(and of course availability)

I agree. Rollo actually have the hardware, the personal experience unlike you people who just whine. It could be becasue of jealously, i dont know, but if i had the cash to spend heaps on PC hardware i would defitentely buy the latest end.
I actually read the whole interview, it was quite a while ago, but the nvidia engineer talked about why Nvidia simply chose SFR and AFR, why supertiling was ineffective (due to perforamnce loss of GPUs rendering over the suggested sqaure, e.g erendering over the line), why the connector was needed, and etc.
And anyhow SLi is different to 3DFX SLi.
