No, not refurb, preowned.
Preowned is used. Refurb is remanufactured or refurbished from the company.

guys, remember use your AMEX BLUE card to purchase your PS2
because when you use AMEX BLUE, everything you buy will automaticlly get 1 extra year of extended warrantee ( from AMEX, not Sony ). if your PS2 broken down within a year, I think BLUE will replace it for you or fix it something ( NOT 100% sure, but they will do something )

Buyer's Assurance
The Buyer's Assurance Plan extends the terms of the original manufacturer's warranty on a covered product purchased entirely with the Card up to one additional year on U.S. warranties of five years or less.4

4 The Buyer's Assurance Plan coverage is limited to eligible products costing $10,000 or less, excluding taxes, up to $50,000 per Cardmember account per policy year. Underwritten by AMEX Assurance Company, Administrative Office, Green Bay, WI. Coverage is subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions of Policy AX0953

Feel the power of BLUE ???

Thanks, I just got one too. Better deal than that PS2 plus 3 games. I would've never ever played those 3 games.

I'm surprised that the coupon works, since it specifically says it's for "Preowned Titles." Hey, I'm not complaning though! I'm just hoping that the website is not running on autopilot and when they come back from the Holiday weekend they don't decided to cancel or "modify" all of the orders.

At any rate I ordered one. Thanks for the tip! The fact that the shipping is cheap and there is no Tax for CA Residents certainly helps sweeten the deal! Now I just hope it doesn't look like it's been through WW II!

FYI: You have to file a claim with AMEX to get the extra year of warranty.

after a hard thought, i decided to keep my used PS2 with 3 games from Gamestop.com. its cheaper for me.

i just returned the 3 games to my local store for $48+ credit. And their extended warranty is $30 for 1yr.

so total for me is approx $230+tax+S&H (1yr extended warranty included)

if i bought from EBgames, total would be $212+tax+S&H+$30 for 1yr extended warranty.

enjoy!

Gamestop now is offering 2 free games, no more 3 free games! hope this helps! But i love their preowned titles prices with 15% off! Thnks.

I just checked my order status on ebgames.com. The order is listed as "On Hold." Hopefully this doesn't mean that "someone" is questioning the use of the coupon on hardware purchase. Does anyone else have their order status as "On Hold?"

Perhaps it has to do with the fact that it is a weekend, but I'm nervous now. I want a cheap PS2!!

I called in last night and asked about the "On Hold" status and the CSR said that my order is fine and will ship today. She said that "On Hold" is normal. Although it is terrifying to see that (especially when it's such a good deal)!

Doh! I just called again out of pure psychic chance and found out that my order is indeed "On Hold" because my credit card zip code did not match the billing address. The lady fixed it but said it may not ship out today now.

So if your order is "On Hold" you may wish to call and make sure everything is ok.

thats the irony! I donot understand why EBgames or Gamestop.com donot offer extended warranty on their websites!! Only in B&Ms. so you got to call your local B&M and see what they can do about it!
