I am looking for a good 17" LCD for my dell 4550.
I am thinking NEC 1760NX, NEC 1760V, Samsung 172T, Samsung 172B, DELL 1702, ... .
Which one is good for me (not a gamer, mainly for movie and graphics,
want to have cristal clear font & realistic vibrant colors, sleek and nice design).
I have a good review on NEC and Samsung one. I've seen NEC 1760V at Circuit City and Microcenter.
But, their image quality is not what I am looking for (I know I should think that it is not the same
image as I will actually have. But, also their Auto adjustment did not work for unknown reason).
In addition, NEC 1760 series looks heavy and bulky (back side). Not good as Samsung (I have seen
172B at CompUSA and it was pretty good and sleek. Haven't seen 172T, yet). I also heard that
Dell LCD users are happy with sreen. How can I compare it with other competitors?
I want to know how good the NEC one. How much would it be different between analog and DVI
conneciton. According to a review from Tom's hardware, an similar unit (HItachi CML174) did not
make a difference. How about NEC LCD users? Samsung 172T will be good but they are more
expensive (about ove $560).
Please advise me and recommend any other models (not mentioned above) I can try. This is my
first LCD, but, because of my SXGA laptop screen, I really want to have a high quality LCD for
