what do you guys think? the price is basically the same. i have no experience with Kds but i've never had a problem with an old 15" ibm my sister now has. any recommendations are welcome. thanks.


edit: wow, i've been reading a lot about kds monitors dying and their lack of tech support. anyone have experience with either of these monitors??

binoculaz, of the 2, I would go w/ the IBM P72. According to your links the price is better, just my opinion, hope this helps.

If you have reduced your selection down to just two monitors, looking at the end result of how they appear to you
is the prime consideration....whatever badge is on the box.

I've had the VS-19sn (a 19", non-flatscreen model) for 9 months, and like it a lot; no problems or anything.

KDS's 3 year warranty is pretty sweet, too...

The KDS AV-7TF is an excelent monitor. It is a discontinued model and few retailer has it in stock.

You can get a recertified one from Tiger Direct for $139. Of course, the warranty is only 90 days.

Same here. The AV- models are flat screen though, and KDS makes pretty good monitors. Too bad they're out of business Oh yea...I'd go with the KDS.

I've had the KDS Trinitron now for about 2 1/2 years now with no problems. Very good monitor..........

At home we've got a KDS AV7TF and its been running fine for over 1.5 years.
