OK...here's the deal...
$175 to spend...need a CPU/mobo/RAM to replace an old S939 single core setup. What would you get?
Thinking about this...
Motherboard:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16813128357
CPU:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16819116072
RAM:

Any changes that I should consider to squeeze a bit more out of the $175? Down the road I plan to upgrade the GPU, PSU and monitor but those will have to wait for now.
I do still game on the PC but not nearly as much as I used to since getting an XBOX 360. I mostly use my PC to surf the web, encode and listen to my LARGE music collection and watch videos/movies/DVDs/etc. And I would be adding these new components to what I already have...which is listed below...not nearly cutting edge hardware I know...
Antec 300 case
350W Enermax PSU
640GB WD SATA2 HDD
1TB WD SATA2 HDD
256MB XFX 7600GT XXX edition with Zalman cooler
ASRock Dual939 SATA2 mobo (TO BE REPLACED)
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ S939 Venice core (TO BE REPLACED)
1GB of G.Skill DDR400 RAM (TO BE REPLACED)
BenQ DW1655 CD/DVD burner
Altec Lansing ADA995 5.1 THX speakers (older but still kick ass)
SB Audigy sound card
Basic Logitech wired keyboard and mouse (hopefully soon to be upgraded to the Logitech S520 Wireless Desktop)
Westinghouse widescreen (1440x900) LCD monitor
And I'm running 64-bit Windows Vista Ultimate. And I do not plan to overclock at this time.
I would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions. Thanks.
