I got this monitor for under $400 a few months ago from one of dells deals and I have no complaints. I would probably go with a 17" at this res or go up to a 20 for 1600 by 1200 res instead of the 19" planar etc.

I think it's worth getting because I have this LCD and it's been great. I bought mine in late March
for $451.75 from Dell home using a % off and a $35 off coupon like this deal. Now I'm thingking of
getting the 1901FP for around $551.

I got this same monitor for 459 about 5 months ago with all you hot deals guy's help. It is a great monitor, self adjusting, great contrast, great color, great viewing angles! This monitor is definately flaming hot at this price!

No complaints here. Got one from somone on these boards for $450 Shipped Brand New never used sealed in original packaging. From reading all the posts on this forum, it seems this is a guaranteed winner for someone looking to buy an LCD. Tried and True. That is why I got one over say the new Samsung 17" and the fact this was nearly $200 cheaper.

Any suggestions on setting it up? I remember reading about having to do something with cleartype and turnng down the brightness?

Can't wait to game on this, and then try out dual monitors with my 19" flat CRT.

I'm like a kid who can't wait 'til Christmas! =)

Yeasterday, they dropped its price from $400 to $350 if I bought it with the system. So I paid $333.90 for the monitor itself ($350 - 10% off coupon + 6% tax = $333.90).
The total was $917.88 ($583.98 for the desktop) though.

You could have sold the card for like 240+ bucks i think and bought that POS FX5200 for like 60
to upgrade I believe it was only $115 bucks.
