Yea, pretty much.

Why give money back instantly when 40-50% of the people never bother to send them in or screw them up?

its now $229 if you get the rebate!!
very tempting indeed, BUT neweggs policy of 8 DEAD pixels really makes it shaky.
You may get a dozen stuck pixels but they may not consider it as dead.

I got my monitor yesterday. In windows, the color is rich and clear, but im having trouble with GTA:SA, in the daytime it seems to bright and washed out & at night too dark. It was fine with my old viewsonic va720 though. I tried UT2003 and it seems ok, but I gota play more and maybe play with color settings.

I have tried this software following the instructions, but no luck here. The colors are just not right. everything looks weird. Some one can help me here? Any other software that I can use?

Ordered this one today. I have a second box which acts as both server and hydra EQ comp. I use a dell 20" widescreen LCD on my main comp so I didnt need anything fancy but did want a 19" on that 2nd box.

Got mine from NewEgg today. After adjusting picture, it is exceptional. The price/performance ration is really quite high and I had no dead pixels at all. This is truly a HOT deal to me...I only wish I could afford another one right now.

Great monitor, for about 6 weeks. Mine died, only displays a blank white screen now regardless of being plugged in at all versus DVI versus VGA. *sigh* I believe the complaints on the user reviews on NewEgg, it looks like I'll be out of a monitor for about 4-6 weeks with transit and "ten business days" to repair / replace.

Worse, the woman who works the RMA department seems to be passive aggressive. I wanted to get the thing in the mail ASAP and had to have a friend email the required RMA information to her. She refused to provide an RMA number over the phone so I could ship before the weekend, claiming she would send the standard email later that afternoon (she doesn't work weekends). Well, I must have really upset her by asking (very nicely, mind you) for a favor, because she didn't send the email at all. Even though she had 3 hours to send out the two emails that were waiting before she got to mine.

Buyer beware... I'm weighing buying a different monitor and putting this one on ebay when it gets back to me sometime near the New Year. I'm less than enthused about this "deal."

I bought one of these for work about 6 weeks ago. No bad pixels and has worked great so far. The actual display quality is awesome. As long as it keeps working I'm extremely happy with it.

Damn, I've been waitin so long for these to hit the FS/T forums. I've heard their rebates take like 4+ months, even the first group that ordered in June haven't received theirs yet.

I actually called these guys a few weeks back when I was shopping for monitors. The tech that I spoke with (tech, not sales) stated bluntly that they are using 8-bit panels in these when I asked.

Sounds like a good deal but with Newegg's dead pixel policy buying monitors on there is out of question for me...

Got mine on June 14 from the Egg, sent in the rebate by the end of that week, and ..... still no rebate. That's well over even a 4+ month wait, and the $50 would come in handy for Xmas. I still love the LCD and have had no issues with it. Still .... I want dat rebate !!!!!

Side question, when you have a number do you use "a" or "an"?

Depends how it's spelled. 8(eight) starts with a vowel. Use "an". 2(two) starts with a consonant. Use "a."

Where did you go to school?

It depends on how the word actually sounds, not if it starts with a vowel or a consonant. Would "an one" make any sense? If it *sounds* like a vowel, then you use "an." If it sounds like a consonant, then you use "a."

So "one" sounds like it starts with a "w" which is a consonant, so you would say, "a one".
