19" .22mm 1600x1200@75 Hz 3 yr Warr $$$269

Been looking at all these monitors threads for couple days now. Tempted to go for the Micron 21" but warranty scares me, if it ain't in writing it ain't no good.

Found this at Cornerstone C910. Seems to be a decent monitor for $269.

Anybody have any experience with this brand?

Still trying to decide between this, the Samsung 955DF, or the Micron 1100 with the warranty issues.

Micron is not a strong name in monitors... I would stay away, even though the price and the specs are decent

The only monitors I buy are Sony and Iiyama. Better to save and buy something decent w/ a 3yr warranty than some pos for $100 less.

I highly recommend the Samsung... I just got the 950P and I love it. Colors are spectacular...the footprint is pretty big, though. 57lbs shipping weight.

In regards to monitors, what does 'footprint' mean?

I just bought the Cornerstone C910 monitor two weeks ago. I ordered on a Tuesday and it arrived on Friday without a hitch. The color is great and no screen distortions. I purchased the $20 dollar service contract so no need to worry about shipping if something does go wrong.

I still own a Cornerstone 20/70 (20&quot; fixed frequency monitor) which I bought used from work, which is about 6 years old and still works perfectly.

I believe cornerstones are actually build by Hitachi. We are evaluating their 19&quot; and 21&quot; at work. I haven't had a chance to take a look at them yet.

Cornerstone are top of the line CAD monitors. Thats why the dp is so low....good monitor......

check the specs carefully. That's .22mm Horizontal dp. The diagonal dot-pitch is .26mm

I bought some cornerstone monitors for work. I have a P1600 (21&quot and P1450 (19&quot. Since I deal with text most of the day I prefer the shadow mask monitors. Some people don't like the rounded p1600 but I can program all day at 1600x1200@85 on the p1600 and go home without any eye strain. The same cannot be said of most apature grill monitors.

i have a sony multiscan 17SFII from about 7 or 8 years ago, still a great 17&quot; monitor even compared to the top ones today...

i also have a sony F400, probably the best 19&quot; monitor i have ever seen in my life...doesn't come cheap with a street price of almost $1000 when it first came out, but its your eyes ppl...worth every penny

Thanks for all the input. After looking at this thread and a lot of reviews on web sites (including user reviews) $380 (after rebate) shipped for an outstanding monitor such as the Samsung 900NF seemed like a great deal.

Thanks for the info mted1! I'd never heard of Cornerstone before, but they are apparently a high-end manufacturer, and even offer five year warranties on some of their products. Links to reviews of their monitors, including the C901, can be found on their website at:
