19 inch LCD with 12ms response time

I would love to see a review on this new 19 LCD from BenQ. Its the first I've seen claiming a 12ms response time.

They warranty the backlight for three years. I'd be more interested if they warranty no dead pixels for that time.

This puppy looks nice, but it can't be inexpensive. Until I'm a lot richer, LCD monitors would be self indulgent. I'm hoping better, more reliable flat panel technologies mature pretty soon.

For now, I'll stay with my ViewSonic G790.

Had my eye on that Viewsonic as well

I may not even purchase this BenQ but its good to know that technology has progressed enough that manufacturers are producing panels capable of 12ms! So hopefully we will see other labels (perhaps with better warranty) soon enough.

I use a 16ms BenQ 17inch LCD at work, its awesome and was really inexpensive (>$400). Mighty good performance for watching DVD's.

still nothing can beat the 8ms that will be in samsungs 57" lcd that is going to be coming out . . .

Anyone know how many colors this thing supports? Some of the other LCD's were cutting down colors to increase speed.

that samsung lcd has crappy resolution though. it's only 1920x1080, which is crap for typical computer usage. that lcd is technically for tv use or htpc use. the apple hd 30" display has a native resolution of 1600x1200, which is far greater then teh samsung 57" in size to resolution.

Crappy? LOL, its at the outside of single link DVI capability, and a higher resolution than the vast majority of computer users. I don't believe its intended to be set 20" from your face.

the apple hd 30" display has a native resolution of 1600x1200, which is far greater then teh samsung 57" in size to resolution.

The Apple 30 inch Cinema Display has a native resolution of 2560x1600.
