Right now I am looking at the following monitors:
Samsung 931C
Samsung 204B-SV
I originally wanted to get a 20.1" with a native resolution of 1600x1200. I wasn't sure if this would look good or not, so I showed my wife 1600x1200 on my Samsung SyncMaster 955DF. She thought the icons looked too small at that resolution, and that 1280x1024 looked better.
Also taking into account that I would be using this monitor for gaming and video/photo editing, it's a fairly multipurpose monitor. The extra desktop space would be nice for the video and photo stuff, but I'm not sure how 1600x1200 will affect gaming performance.
My rig right now:
AMD 64 3000+
DFI LanParty NF4 Ultra-D
2GB PC3200
BFG 7950GT-OC
Any thoughts on the monitors listed, as well as suggestions on what to get would be appreciated.
