No rebate hassles, shipped 3-5 business days to your door. just had a KDS Avitron 17" die on me, seemed like a decent deal. Link.

Ended up buying a Viewsonic p95f+b, however it came w/a dead VGA cable... Currently using a crappy belkin cable from office max that causes me to see 3 shadows of every letter while i wait for a replacement

i bought that monitor a couple years ago for 300ish and i Love it. i returned the 19" NEC that i bought for it and i couldnt be happier(actually i think it may have been this one in beige). i just sold my PC (bought a bad a$$ laptop) but i wouldnt let go of that monitor, DVDs look Amazing on it.

I agree that it's a good price, but I haven't been shopping for monitors for a couple of years. I bought the same monitor about 2 years ago for about 220 shipped (very good deal at the time - Dell - if it hadn't been for DOA and RMA issues)- haven't they come down more than that in price?

If you're planning on using it at 1600X1200, I'd avoid this monitor. It gave me headaches because the refresh rate was so low. Thankfully I now have the Dell 2001FP and 1600x1200 goodness is once again mine.

I'm looking at my screen on this monitor right now, had it for two years, no problem. I think I didn't do any better than this price, and I had to screw around with Amex pricematch. Running it at 1280x1024, 32bit, 75hz, on ATI Radeon DDR. I don't know how it would do at 1600x1200, it doens't make s sense to me to even try on a 19" monitor (I'm running large fonts on 1280x1024 as it is). To each their own I guess.

F*cking sales tax!! Dell use to only charge me sales tax in Illinois on SB orders. Now they want to tax me on Home and Home Office too.

Still a good price at $186 shipped with tax though.

How does this compare to higher priced 19" CRT's? Is there anything else that I should look at for under $300 in a CRT?

Small Business has always charged tax for me here in Illinois, but Home didn't until recently. Now Dell charges tax here in Illinois for Home as well. Does anyone know when this started? I hadn't ordered anything from Dell for about 6 months and when I tried to order something last month through Home, I noticed that they were adding tax to the sale.

but if you plan on running any lower resolution, the monitor is great.

Doesnt have a shot in hell vs my 1800fp, but its a great value for a CRT.

I do have both, fyi.

LCDs rock, but do cost quite a bit.

How does this monitor compare to something like a Viewsonic G90F? I am in the market for a new CRT and do want a 19". I just don't want to be penny wise and pound foolish on the monitor. I'm spending close to $200 anyway, so what's another $50 considering how often you (I) buy a monitor if it's going to make a difference. BTW.. I don't need the high refresh rates with the 900DF. The most I'd probably run is the 1280 x 1024.
