Someone on FatWa**ets said the same thing but someone else said that Staples policy has changed and DOES accept PM and Coupon. The CSR I spoke to did not even hesitate when I used the coupon after PM.

How good of a monitor is this? I would be replacing an old Sony Trinitron 17inch multiscan 200sx..


EDIT : Also ive never did a pm at staples before, would this be done over the phone or instore? And how would I go about this?

wow! Almost got this monitor. But I decided to go with a trinitron instead. Might be more expensive but I think it looks better than shadowmask tech that 995df is using.

I just called them up and said I was interested in this monitor. But I said their price was higher than other places. He asked where and I gave them the URL....etc, etc.....(the CSR will do the rest for you based on Staples PM policy)

Please clarify that .20 dp is horizontal. The true (diagonal) pitch is closer to .24; I have this monitor and for a .24-.25 pitch it should be clearer than it is. Can't argue w/ the price though.

I came out sorta ok. They charged me 35.91 for the same shipping that pagecomputers.com charges - and so that brought it up from pagecomputers 199.95 to 235.86 or so. Then they took off 40 and gave me free shipping ..but seems they added some type of tax ...so then i was at 209.... now i do the 50 dollar rebate and i get it for 159 ..which isnt bad for a 19in flat monitor and i understand the monitor is pretty decent.

I have this monitor and it's fantastic. It was a steal at $219 shipped (from Dell, about 6 months ago) and at this price it would be a crime to pass it up. I'm considering ordering a second one just in case I decide to build another system within the next few years (is it okay to keep a monitor in storage for years?)

Hey! I am looking at this monitor as I am typing now. The monitor is fantastic! It's 19" (with 18" viewable) and it's completely flat (noted: it doesn't have the "sink-in" effect of some sony monitors). The refresh rate could be better...but for $130? MAN!! YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING!

hmmm....just realized something. Staples does not show a rebate available for this monitor on their website. I've checked a couple of other vendors and they do show a rebate for this monitor. I've also checked on Samsung's website and I don't see Staples listed as a participating reseller. The rebate says valid for participating resellers only. Does anyone have experience with Samsung rebates for purchases made from a non-participating reseller?

Do you deal with Staples at the store, on the phone or over the internet?? Monitor is excellent, the deal looks too good. I think you have to add taxes.

It worked for me 137 shipped to my door. You have to call staple 18003staples. If you don't the person tells you that you can't do it call back and get someone else. Here is the store I pricematched to Pricematch link. The Monitor got a good review from anandtech. It's A HOT BUY for $137.

I just called Samsung and although this shouldn't be taken as gospel, the representative said that "participating resellers" is not important. He said that as long as we have a receipt and a valid UPC code, we will be alright with the rebate. Again this may or may not mean much.

I got the same from Samsung that the reseller does not matter.

Still 187 for the monitor is not bad. Getting the 50 back from Samsung will be bonus!
