The 955DF is at Onvia for 344.89.
New 25 off a 200 coupon expires July 31st

344.89 - 25 = 319.89
319.89 - 10% (PointClick) = 287.90
287.90 - 30 (samsung rebate) = $257.90

Pretty awesome! I just ordered one.
Props to mosdef for the catch. I was getting ready to order it for 20 bucks more.

Oh it's nothing MisterPotatoHead . However this deal has been posted already, just do a search for Samsung SyncMaster. Also, I ordered one myself using the exact same deal. The flat is real nice (looks like a portrait!) but a major gripe is low refresh rates. I haven't really set up this monitor yet (it's actually sitting in my basement), but I have tried it and you get some eye strain. The best thing is to not go too high on the resolution. and you'll be fine. In any case, the price cannot be beat. I think it's ~$200 under retail?

I tried the 50 off coupon

It said "invalid recipient." I guess it's only for the account they send it to in the mail

You're right, that's only for the Canadian site. $257 with free shipping is the lowest it'll go.

Only ordered from Onvia once. Where does the 10% point and click coupon show up in the order process? Just want to make sure so I don't screw this up.
I'm using a Samsung 900IFT and absolutely love it. It ain't the Cadillac but it sure ain't the Yugo either. The 955DF is perfect for my second system, especially at this price.

My very first order from Onvia was for an Asus Slotket, on the website it stated 'In Stock', later got an email stating the product was 'Backordered'.

Ok, I understand, things happen. Placed an order for this monitor several days ago, on website it claimed it was 'In Stock', a couple days later I track the order via their site but now it tells me my order was 'Backordered'.

DOES THIS PLACE EVER HAVE ANYTHING IN STOCK, I MEAN WHAT'S UP WITH THIS PLACE!!!@@!#

call them and tell them to search under the product code 955df instead of what they have listed on the site.

they have lots of these in stock, but their supplier screwed up on the product code.

I've ordered from Onvia about 15 times in the past year, and only one item has been out of stock even though the website said it was instock.

dc,
You're saying Onvia.com has plenty in stock?
Onvia site still shows it as being in stock. Buy.com and Hardwarebuyline.com, like Onvia, use Ingram Micro. Their web sites list it as being backordered. Also, go to http://www.cmpexpress.com and search for 955df. It shows "how much" it's backordered. Their "Secondary Distributor" is Ingram Micro. The monitor is backordered.

yep, i got the same story about them being out of stock. called them up, asked the csr to look up code 955df, found plenty in stock at one of their suppliers, but was unsure whether they were the same monitor. sayed she would check it out and call me back. 10 minutes later she called back saying it was ok, and that my monitor would ship out next day from their fontana, CA warehouse. got it last wednesday. same thing with my friend that called this last weekend.

go give it a try, doesn't hurt.

Shark, the pointclick thing is a reimbursement from http://www.pointclick.com. You have to sign up on their website, then buy the monitor, and submit a reimbursement form on PointClick, then they send you a check for 10% of the purchase price (after any coupons or discounts)... They only do it for certain websites, but onvia is one of them, and you can choose it when you are filling out the reimbursement form.

Anyone have any first hand experience with the diff between the 955DF and the 900IFT and 900NF Samsung monitors? They're all current models. The 900IFT was their first flatscreen CRT, but even though it's older its got better specs. The 900NF seems to be a higher end model of the DF, but it's kind of vague.

I actually called Samsung and they were clueless (!). Their rep didn't even know they had 3 nearly identical monitors.

Anyway, back on topic, the 900NF and 900IFT actually have a $50 rebate (vs. $30 on the 955DF) from Samsung CANADA. They cost more though.

Does anyone know where the US rebate coupon (for any of these monitors) can be found? I only see a Canadian rebate...

Roch,
I was looking at the 900IFT vs the DF last night. It looks like a better monitor. It has BNC inputs and better refresh rates, and still a flate tube. Retails for a lot more. It's about 60 bucks more, but if there is a higher rebate on it, I think it would definitely be worth it. I looked on the samsung website, didn't see that rebate.. Give me a clue?

Edit- there's another thread somewhere in here where a guy was recommending it saying it had a very nice picture and a better tube (forgot the name) that does not create horizontal flaws

I just got the 955df yesterday and I have a question.. does it have one of those protective sheets across the screen? where you can peel off? Because on the top right corner of my monitor there appears to be some sort of bubbling effect and it just seems like if you pull on it a sheet will come off and you'll have the monitor screen. I doubt that's the case but is this normal or an abnormality?

rochlin,
Where did you see that the 900NF and 900IFT have a $50 rebate. Go to http://www.samsungmonitors.com. Click on "Promotions". It'll send you to http://www.netbate.com/coupons/samsung/1347.htm. Looks like $30 for all three monitors.
From what I can tell, the 900IFT and 955DF use the same (Samsung) tube but the 955DF has lower refresh rate. There may be other differences, for example, the BNC inputs on the 900IFT as MisterPotatoHead pointed out.
The 900NF uses a 0.25mm dot pitch aperture grille tube. I assume it's made by either Sony or Mitsubishi.
