That NEC is a low end model.

There are flat screens and there are FLAT screens. A lot of low end flat screens are flat on the front but if you look at it at an angle, you can see that the corners are curved inside. In other words, they just put glass fillers on a regular CRT to flatten it. True flat screens, like FD trinitron nad the AG diamondtron are, well, truely flat. The projections are flat.

When I talked to the sales rep today, he said nothing about it being B stock. My order was invoiced already anyways so I couldnt get in on the deal. Look, call the guy up for yourself tomorrow and find out! Here's the link to the FW thread. LINK The guy that bought it in the thread picked it up locally and said notihng about it being a refurb, etc. Like I said before, I called up the guy this morning and he confirmed a price of $191 to me. He would have adjusted my order if it hadnt been invoiced yet, but it had so I was out of luck. I gave him the CDW item number, 252970 WHICH IS NOT THE SAME ITEM NUMBER AS THE B STOCK!

Look, I dont even know why I am trying to convince anyone to get this deal. I've given you the info, I've given you a freakin toll free number, I've given you the name of the guy, the item number, what more do you want? It's not like this is one of those once in a lifetime PM, AR, BVG, 1 day free shipping, out of stock items. For those of you that think this is B stock, at least provide some proof?

your right, no one has really proved that this is a b stock item, I will call tomorrow and talk to john, and directly ask him if this is brand new, or b-stock, and wether it carries the same 3 year advance warranty



by the way, the advance warranty is through compaq correct? so whats the deal, why wouldnt b stock qualify anyway? where is the warranty info posted?

well, after doing some searching around on this monitor, it looks like it is a really amazing deal. BTW, ben was right, the part number that john is giving people for 191$ is for the new monitor, the one in the clearance section is a different #.. and it says it wont ship for 1 - 2 weeks.. so it looks like the thing with john is legit..

But just let me stress, regardless of the price, $190 or $219, it's a STEAL!
This is by far the best monitor you can get at this price.
It's superior to the Samsung and NEC at a better price, and Sony's tube is on par with it, but only by charging you $350+ for it.

I'm shocked they still have any left in stock from May, and it's still going at the same price.

calling up the sales rep wasn't so bad. no wait time whatsoever.

fyi -> When I ordered my P910 yesterday around 6pm EST, my acct rep -Ryan @ ext. 54596- did not budge to give me the discounted 'clearance price of $179' he had acknowledged CDW had in the recent past.

Also, at that time they had 42 units left.

Cause CSR's are low paid and some get off on sticking it to you. CSR is a sh!t job so that is why it varies some are nice and some are like airport security (you know the peoples with G.E.D. 's)

I just spoke with John (Ext. # 50229). When I inquired about the lowered price on the Compaq P910 he replied that that model was discontinued and that CDW would not be receiving any more stock. He directed me instead to the Compaq S9500, and I believe his words were that it is replacing the P910. Specs don't look as great and neither does the enclosure in my opinion. Anyway, it looks like time has run out on this deal.
