Sniff...Sniff... Unfortunatley my montor doesn't. I checked out the users guide that "mindless1" had linked too and it says nothing of a corner purity adjustment and I have played with all my OSD options.... I'm afraid that I'm going to have to return this one and get a refurbished replacement. Oh well, at least I have a warrenty that allows that. But thanks for the tip anyways "pennstate".

Woo Hoo !!!!
My p900 Monitor has finally cleared up. After 5 or so days, the color distortion in the bottom left corner of my screen has fixed itself to the color it should be No more color distortion for me. Now My monitor works great like all the others.
I'm glad I waited to see if it would clear up, instead of sending it back to get a refurb.

If I move the screen away from that corner then the color is fine. Disappointed; I called Compaq Customer Support (Which is also good tech support) and told the guy my problem
Sounds like your speakers or wiring next to the monitor are not shielded sufficiently. This will cause the color distortion.

Mine has the same discoloration at the bottom left corner. Kinda purple hue...I had another Trinitron just before this one with the EXACT same problem. Humm...hope it clears up. I only ran it for a couple of seconds, will start using it full time on another PC Tuesday.

I had a whole batch of monitors like that once, leave it on overnight and it will usually clear itself up just fine.

What do you mean by "shakey". Do you mean the text is anti-aliased... As in it's smooth instead of crisp.

try setting it to 60Hz. Does it stop shaking? Could be electrical interference, possibly harmonics in the AC line.

My P910 monitor just arrived today. However, there are quite a few things that i'm not currently happy with. First of all, there was no User Manual included. Secondly, the shape of the screen isn't square (some curving and bending at all 4 corners), and no matter how I try to adjust it, it still won't fix, and lastly whenever I try the Geometry Reset it always giving me the message "user timing can't be reset". Can anyone help me to fix all those problems please, coz the shape of it is really bad now. Other than that, the graphic and text are very clear and crisp. I also like the Fine Picture Mode which included for this monitor. Thanks in advance.

John.

I am also not happy with my P910 monitor; text is so blurry/out of focus in the middle of the screen that it is unusable. This is a B-Stock model. It was obviously returned after being opened.

It's going back; I wonder what they will replace it with?

I was so upset. The p900 shipped to me has damage at the outer shell. When I asked for replacement instead of credit back, I was told that this model is discontinued and no more available and they still have 41 backorders which can not be filled any more. I want this monitor so baaaaaaaaaaaad! But................

I placed my order 08/16, the day after they were supposed to receive 100 more p900 monitors, and I was told they hadn't arrived yet but were expected any day, and 44 of the 100 were spoken for. So I placed an order and looked forward to receiving my goods.
Time passed, and nothing.
I finally sent my CSR an email last night asking what was happening. I got a response saying the monitors were discontinued; he tried calling but couldn't reach me (and didn't verify what phone # he supposedly had or why he didn't use the email address that worked); and he cancelled the order.
I'm not happy about that.
I knew they were discontinued when I ordered; that's why they were discounted! So what happened to the new shipment of 100?
Anybody else have an experience like this?
I asked if they can substitute an equivalent model, and if they offer me a lesser quality screen for a lot more money, I will remain not happy.

I was told that Compaq never sent that batch of 100, so CDW couldn't fulfill the orders they took for them. I was offered other, inferior 19" monitors near in price as "substitutes". My appetite whetted by expectations of such a nice monitor, I responded with a list of monitors I considered acceptable alternatives. The CSR told me he couldn't match the p910's quoted, canceled price on those, but he could give them to me at cost. So I'm exploring some other 19" "professional" monitors and soliciting advice (and possibly spurring discussion) about them.

My CDW account mgr, Dione, called today to tell me there were no replacements for my B Stock P910 that I RMAd. They would let me apply the amount I paid for the P910 towards one of their other monitors and they would not charge me shipping. What a deal!

The B Stock monitor I received had been obviously dropped hard during the shipment to the previous customer because the packing foam inside the box was broken in several pieces and then taped back together. Text in the middle of the screen was almost unreadable from being so far out of focus. I guess it is just cheaper for CDW to ship returns with minimal inspections hoping the next customer will just accept it as is than to pay someone to actually check out the merchandice.

They will credit back my account, though it will take them three weeks. It looks like I'll be out shipping both ways which comes to about $45 with nothing to show for it.

that's a bummer the deal turned out sour for you. I got in on the p910 early and I've been using it for a month or so now. I love this monitor so far, it was worth every penny.

CDW must have gotten some P910s returned because there was one waiting for me when I got home to replace the out of focus B Stock one I sent back. I haven't found anything wrong with this one.

The P910 B Stock price is currently $139.68. This could be a warm to hot deal if you like to gamble.

They had some B Stock P910s for immediate shipping earlier today; but their site now says 2+ weeks.

I went ahead and got the Samsung 955DF 19inch, black like my case. I figured since I don't use high resolutions, it would be just perfect for me.

Problem however, the damn thing is $60 bucks cheaper now at Dell! gah!
