Besides, why would he say it's the X1900XTX's fault if it works completely fine in another rig?

kmmatney:
When I upgraded to a 6600GT (from a Ti4200) I had a lot of problems with stuttering, and other various issues. For some reason, the 6600GT just didn't get along with my Asus A7N-266E. I tried everything, but nothing worked. I finally swapped out my nice Asus motherboard with my son's cheap-ass Biostar, and everything was fine...So it could be a motherboard issue.

Is it possible that your mobo was fualty?

I HAVE 2GB RAM. MY CPU is running at 2.4GHz(or atleast was) so neither the CPU nor the RAM is a bottleneck.
FPS I mostly get are pretty good.
Problems are like:
UT04 running fine at 12x10 6x AA but not running fine with 6x AAA, something similar with underground 2.
I will try the 6600GT and onboard audio, I don't have the right screw driver for which I am waiting. I will be back.

I will try those things later, however I come back with a useful find.
Most Wanted
Those stuttering/jerking tress don't stutter in Vista, there are occasional stutters in motion and slow downs due to low FPS in Vista, but that should hopefully be corrected as Vista advances, do you think that it was a software issue or hardware issue?

my problems aren't imaginery, I have given a video to prove that the game stutters. I will still be trying the 6600GT and all on XP.
BTW the game was installed in XP, however worked through source files in Vista.

damn it, you are freaking annoying.
Follow the steps EXACTLY and report the results:
Take EVERYTHING out of your box except
1. one cpu
2. one motherboard
3. one harddrive
4. one piece(1 gig) of ram
5. one 1900xtx videocard
6. one power supply
7. one keyboard,
8. one mouse
then
1. clear your bios
2. format your harddrive
3. install windows xp
4. install one ATI driver
5. install one game
then run the game , tell us if it is stuttering.
DONT DO /INSTALL / F**K With anything else. don't install any other driver, etc et, don't do any windows update, don't do anything, just FOLLOW THE STEPS AND REPORT BACK!
Can you do that?
