I just picked up a 7950 for my rig and saw a killer deal on these 1600x1200's. Is this set up possible?

Have you compared the 'Pixel Pitch' yet? If they have different pitches (the spacing of the pixels) then the monitors won't be the same height. Think of it this way, 19" + 17" LCD (non-widescreen) both have 1280x1024 resolution. If you tried using a 19" as a center screen with a 17" on either side of it, it would look horrible because the outer screens would have a shorter height.

Personally, I replaced my 1600x1200 20" LCD with a 1920x1200 24" LCD. I was hoping that perhaps I could add another 1600x1200 20" screen later to do the same thing you are talking about. I never bothered looking into it because of how different the pixel pitches were.

Sorry to say that I don't know if it is possible. But, the FIRST thing I would check is the pitch, because if they are different, you won't want to go any further.

Out of curiosity, which 1600x1200s were you looking at? I ask because that resolution is becoming increasingly more difficult to find.

I believe that's one of the new features for Eyefinity II. It might not be functioning yet though. Sometimes new features take some time to get working drivers.

This mixed-monitor eyefinity worked for me. The screen heights are a bit different due to different pitch, but I stopped noticing it just like I stopped noticing the bezels. I think your brain eventually learns to adapt, and tells you that there's nothing to see here, move along so you don't even notice the mismatch.

I have a 27'' 1080p next to a 900p 19', and the PP is annoying the crap out of me.

24" 1920x1200 matches 21.3" 1600x1200 perfectly. Issue is the 21.3" size was meant for medical and imaging use so super slow response times and rather rare. Perhaps a 20" 16x12 wouldn't be too bad.
As far as I know, most people use SoftH to game on multiple displays of different resolutions.
