Last post on the engadget page says he called Dell and they said it was pushed back a month. Take it with a grain of salt but it wouldn't suprise me.

Weird I have it added to my cart. It doesn't show an estimated shipping date however.

Well looking at the 360 on that page it would seem that this monitor lacks the ability to adjust height or rotate...bummer.

Dude what are you talking about? It has the same stand as the 2007wfp.

Look at the multi-window viewing section. The two background monitors are raised.

Thats because they are 2007WFPs in the background(and so is the image in endgadget). -_- If you took the time to scroll another inch or so or, h*ll, even looked at the product specs it says TILT only. They took down the 360 view so you could really see what I was talking about.

Side View E207wfp != Sideview 2007wfp

OP needs to update his post. It does NOT have a USB Hub, Composite, or S-Video.

I cant seem to find any info on whether or not it comes with a DVI cable.

Also what coupon did you use? There are a bunch of 20% off Dell Home LCD's coupons on ebay but they are not listing the new model.

EDIT:

$244.15 shipped with the 20% off coupon.
I searched for "20% off Dell Flat Panel Monitors" on ebay and used the one it found. $0.99 coupon.

The difference has to do with color representation. An x-bit LCD monitor uses x bits to represent the brightness setting of a particular sub-pixel (each pixel is made of 3 sub-pixels, one for each of the 3 primary colors: red, green, and blue). This means that each sub-pixel can have 2^x possible settings or 2^3x possible colors (remember there are 3 sub-pixels) per pixel. So an 8-bit panel can be set to 16,777,216 possible colors and a 6-bit panel can be set to 262,144 possible colors.

To try to counteract the severe limitation in color representation 6-bit panels use dithering (basically noise) to trick the eye into seeing more colors than can be represented. Which is why you'll see 6-bit panels be listed as supporting up to 16.2M colors instead of 262k colors.

Ok, ordered mine on Wed 10/18/06 (I believe), just delivered to my work so won't be able to try it until I get home. To answer one of the previouse questions, it DID come with both vga and DVI connectors.

Check the manual and tell us if it's 6-bit or 8-bit. In case you're not sure how to tell, if it's 8-bit it'll say 16.7M colors and if it's 6-bit it'll say 16.2M.

I searched the manual multiple times and there is no mention of 6 or 8 bit nor amount of colors... I played WoW for a few hours last night. Looked great after I tweaked the settings a bit. Played a little HL2 this am, again looks great. Unfortunatly my system isn't high enough to use the highest settings (P4 3.2GHz, 1 GB PC2-4200 Ram and X700 Pro Radeon) but the extra game space helps. I also watched some video and that looked great as well.
