Football game

Fair comes every year and rarely changes. What are the chances after this year that you get such great seats?

She said I never make sacrifices for her and that me going to the game means that she is worthless to me. I suggested that if 7 and 1/2 hours wasn't long enough for her that we could also go Sunday morning (she doesn't want to go all day Sunday because she has an exam on Monday) which she also rejected. I also offered to buy her a ticket to the game so we could go together, but she didn't like that idea.

So I ask ATOT, am I being unreasonable?

Cliffs:
-Fair and football game on same day
-GF wants to go the entire day and have me miss the game instead of going with a friend part of the day and with me the other part.
-If I go to the game, that tells her that I view her as worthless.

I hate when girls say that....they should only say that if you are about to move far far away, or go hang out with another girl (which is a no no either way!)

Bullsh1t. Only a human doormat would put up with that sh1t just because she's got a p****. If it were me, I'd offer her the reasonable compromise (game followed by fair) and if she kept pitching a fit I'd tell her she was pissing me off, I didn't feel like going to the fair AT ALL anymore, and I'd instead go to a party with the guys after the game to "clear my head"... and then I'd walk away. Guaranteed she'd be on her knees "begging" me to reconsider my original offer.

But I guess when you spend all your time supplicating to women and not standing up for yourself you get use to letting them walk all over you.

I think she is also in shock because this is the first time in 2 years I have really put my foot down and didn't give in.

WTF 7 1/2 hours at a fair is already twice as much time as you should be spending there. Go to the game, tell her you'll be more than happy to be with her at the fair from the hours of 5pm to 9pm. If you do the fair all day long with her you're both going to be looking at each other all day with you thinking, this is lame i could have been at the game, and her thinking 'he's pissed at me now cause this really is lame, what was i thinking? I should have taken his compromise of 7 hours'. It will suck.

7 and half hours.... thats a long time

1) You didn't list the background. There are two possibilities. (a) She is an unreasonable bitch so you should dump her. (b) You haven't done enough in the past for the relationship to work.

2) Tell her that the football tickets are already bought, that you'll go to the fair, and that you'll do something very special for her next week. If she still complains, mention that SHE isn't making any sacrifices. If she dumps you, then 1(a) was the correct assumption. It is too bad that you were dumped, but you got rid of an unreasonable bitch, so you are better off.

3) If she doesn't dump you, then 1(a) is false. The result is that 1(b) is true. You are being unreasonable. Change your ways buddy if you want this relationship to work.
