1950 series

So far I've seen a 1950Pro, 1950 Crossfire, 1950 XTX on a site I usually by my stuff from. According to the specs it gives the 1950 Pro has GPU 600 Mhz, and Memory 1400 Mhz, while the Crossfire and the XTX both have GPU 650 Mhz and Memory 2000 Mhz, with the Crossfire being ever so slightly cheaper.

So what I'd like to know is, what is the difference between the Crossfire and the XTX card? As far as I can see they have the same specs, but the crossfire would also be useable for(dundundun!) crossfire. Am I right? Or is there some disadvantage to having a crossfire enabled card?

I'm only looking to buy a single card, so I definitely won't be looking for upgradeability in the Crossfire direction.

Edit: I am talking about the PCI Express versions, just to make sure. No idea if there are such things as AGP versions of these

I agree with the other guy. I have a Saphire Radeon X1950XT. I got it from newegg.com for $250. If im not mistakin, that is more than $100 less than the cards you are looking at. And the XT gets Amazing performance. So I would personally reccomend you save some green and go with the Saphre Radeon X1950XT. You wont regret it. As for your question, If you must get omne of those card i would get the X1950 Crossfire, being cheaper than the XTX and i would think far better than the pro. Im pretty sure the Pro is actually an AGP card. I know you can get in in AGP.

No, they are virtually identical, so its better to buy a CrossFire card than a regular card.
