im restoring a suburban came about an issue of a head gasket so i figured i might as well bore ut out and make the 5.7 a beast. ive never torn a motor apart before, so my question is what are some things im going to want to pay attention to when upgrading pistons headers and what not. what are some parts i can upgrade or even toss in that the average mind wouldnt think about. im also looking into upgrading the rear axle for speed. thoughts abd ideas appreciated

If you can't spell "and", you probably shouldn't spend a lot of money on trying to rebuild an engine.

Roller cam. Very likely the block has the bosses for it, my '93 did.

Yeah, if you like your top speed to be 40 mph.

Better have some serious overdrive if you run that rear end ratio.
