these monitors were a one time buy special for Office Depot, they ran in a weekly ad about a month and a half back... something like $250 after MIR at that time, each store got so many in before that week, and then the monitor was essentially discontinued as soon as it was recieved. it just took until now for it to drop in price and make people go crazy.

ALWAYS call the store if you can, unfortunately the "order online" system for OD isn't very efficent. You place an order and even pay for it, but then it can take a few hours to make it to the store, then it has to be printed out ... in that ammout of time it's easy for someone else to just walk in and buy one.

also to hijack and cause a new round of Office Depot fun... check you local store for the sony cyber-shot T1. just reduced to $199.99 to make way for the T7

Got the last one in-box at OD Palm Desert. No dead pixels. Only VGA cable in box - DVI cable would have been nice - but at this price??? Who cares!

good call on the T1, we sold out yesterday almost immediately. I hadn't even realized that the price had dropped until the orders started coming in.

we have one left... also.. AMAZING price drops on clearanced laptops showed up at our store today. toshiba's w/ 1.6 pent M's, 80 gb HDD's, dvd burners, 15.4" trubirite screens for under $800 out the door. we have a total of about 8 different models that have dropped by hundreds of dollars...however, most of the ones left are the display units only...

Damn, I only stumbled upon this tonight, that's what I get for not coming to the hot deals forum more often. I checked all 10 stores in a 100 mile radius of me on the website and they're all sold out except one that is 70 miles away. They only have one in stock, its too late to call now, do you guys think it's a floor model? Do they list floor models as stock? Anyway, I happen to be heading towards that area tomorrow, so I'll probably stop by.

yes, floor models are listed as in stock. so if they have one on hand, chances are good it was/is the display unit.
