It looks like the 950P+. I'm not 100% certain about that, nor do I have any idea what the difference between the 950P and the 950P+ is. I just bought a 950P last week, and the manual definitely makes a distinction between the two models. I'll check it when I get home and see if it says anywhere what the difference is.

FWIW, the 950P is a GREAT monitor. The colors are beautiful, and it comes with Colorific software to get you the best brightness, contrast and balance for your room lighting. The footprint is huge, that's pretty much my only complaint. Shipping weight was something like 57 lbs. Oh and the control panel for the on-screen controls is a nifty little slide-out panel rather than the standard snap-on.

Is the 95P+ the same as the 950P? Samsungs website does not list the 95P+. The difference between the other "+" models listed seems to indicate better specs.

I think the monitor is a Samtron 95p, they are "lower end" made by Samsung. Here is the page for the information

In Germany Samsung lists Samtron monitors as there product line, here is no direct link from Samsung.

Specs are not so bad, how much is shipping?

Still, for ~$205 before shipping, not bad at all; and shipping doesn't seem to be that outrageous to begin with. Definitely nice for a 19"er.

if it was the samsung 950p it would be a really goood deal. the one i have is great. but i dont think it is either because the dot pitch is .23 or something around that for the 950p and it said .26 for the one advertised

Good work tck! The monitor in question is a Samtron 95P+, not a Samsung 950P.. If you click on Dell's list of monitor's for sale you will see the Samsung (Samtron) for $204.95 and right below that, a Samsung 950P+ for $265.95.

Someone in an earlier thread touted this thinking this was a 950P+. I emailed Dell and Samsung for additional info regarding the Samtron 95+ but they had none, and a CSR at Samsung was curt. Dell's est. shipping is $21 standard, $70 2nd day, and $79 next day.

Click the Samtron link that tck provided for more info. I was looking for that info myself and couldn't read the German specs. Now why didn't I think to try www.Samtron? duh... From the photo on their site, it doesn't look flat.

Another case of incorrect/conflicting information in an online site. The picture is a Samsung 950P+ and they say it is a Samsung. However, they really seem to be selling the Samtron 95P+. As stated earlier, a "value" Samsung model. Appears that they have the pictures and stats all mixed up between Samsung 950P+ and Samtron 95P+.

REmember when the 955df was 213 at amazon when they had the 50 off electronics and another 50 rebate. I'm gonna wait for another deal. I should have gotten in on that. the 955df is a flat monitor..good monitor.

Just picked up one for my g/f. It came out to 204.95 shipped. No tax and free shipping too. Not the best monitor, but good enough. I have a 955df right now, flat is definitely good, but if not we can still live with it since it's only the price of a 17 inch.

"Resolution and picture quality with this monitor is first rate. We increased resolution past the max value of 1600x1200 to 1920x1440 and the picture was clear and fairly crisp, but also unstable. With the monitor back down to its maximum listed resolution of 1600x1200 we turned up the brightness and contrast all the way to see what impact this had on picture quality. We've seen some monitors crap-out when the brightness and contrast are maxed out. So much so that the masking behind the glass becomes visible. Obviously the Samtron 95P didn't have these problems. Colour quality and pixel definition remained sharp, and although there are only three pre-set colour temperatures the range is fully adequate. A temperature of about 6500K looked to be the optimal setting as it was not too warm, and not overly cold."


At $200, it looks like a great deal.

Hmm, I tried checking out with it using the original link, there's a $21 shipping charge (to Michigan anyway).

Maybe I'm just crazy and everyone else was set up with the free shipping automatically, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
