This sounds like a really good deal! Any clue how high these BH-6 chips can typically go? I saw that they're 6ns chips. Doesn't that rate them at 166MHz? Doesn't sound like they'll likely go much higher than 200MHz. I haven't tried them before, though, so I could just not know what they're really capable of (ok, I don't know).

After reading some (including that and other AT reviews), I think right now I'm in a toss-up between these Mushkins and these OCZ EB PC3500 sticks. The Mushkin has the better performance at 400MHz but the OCz is really close and reaches higher FSBs. Both are under $300 but Newegg is OOS on the OCz.

Just make sure you didn't accidentally get the mp3 player that was on the same page... after shipping it comes out to that price.

I still don't know how the hell I managed to do this though without entering a code.

I think I'm ordering this now that there's that 10% off. Does Mushkin still ship their RAM in balloons? Those things were the coolest way back when I used to order Mushkin!

Edit: I bit - $260.10 shipped with the free super saver shipping. Considering I don't have a case, mobo, or cpu for my new pc, I'm in no hurry to get the RAM. But I just wanted to get it while the getting was still good. After this deal is over, the BH-6 chips are no more, pretty much forever. And I don't see Mushkin getting much cheaper than this.

Mushkin is a very good company and I've ordered from them many times so I wouldn't worry about it. BTW the 10% coupon has been going on for literally MONTHS now and in fact its advertised here at the top of Anandtechs own web page. Its really no secret or anything and since its a coupon code available to everyone its really no problem posting it! I ordered this memory from them at $243 a few months ago before the memory prices went way up. This is the cheapest I've seen it in a long time. If you are buying this for a Athlon 64, its kind of a waste since the memory controler is on the CPU and it really doesn't care if you have Low Latency memory. If the price difference isn't that much though I'd say get this, its very good memory.

Well, I don't overclock, so I'm looking to max the memory on my system. Ordered 2 sets to give me 2 GB for my 8knxp rev 1 board. Didn't really have the money, but figured this was my best bet for getting good timings on DDR400 at a good price, and since I eventually figure I'll want 2 GB for games next year, and nice for Photoshop now, decided to go ahead and do it.

I figure since UT2004 sucks my RAM down to 150-160 MB free with 1 GB installed, upcoming games will just get worse.
