dont know why but it definetly worth it for me. what about the ultra cooling cooper heat spreader ? and the damn amd mobo extra cost?. the amd cost sounds shady though, why does it cost more for the nvidia2 chipset and the amd 64 system. Anybody has any input ?

My G5 requires CAS3 (has hiccups with 2.5)... Pretty finicky, but Crucial is a solid "thumbs up." Since Crucial is made by Micron, would this RAM work?

I'm looking for a deal on 2x512MB good overclockable memory (nothing extreme) like either of those, but also on 2x256MB reliable memory (light overclocking). What would be the best deal for this?

This place is pretty good, ive purchased from them many times and no problems. Currently I'm using ADATA Vitesta DDR 500 I bought in May. Great Price, crazy o/c ability. Ive also bought their samsung DDR 400 kits before, and they are really good.

Hey again,
From what I understand it's because the first generations of AMD 64 chips were very picky with memory they required certain DDR specs and they give you a different module infineon / micron module garanteed that it will be compatible. Either way Ive had no problem on my 64 system, havent done the nforce2 though. Heat spreader is always a nice savings....
