Ultra 1gb ddr 3200

Considering the price of ram nowdays, even a tiger direct AR deal sounds good

I just got this 2 days ago when it was 59$ AR, well thats the breaks in the HD forum

Rebate is good thru 11/30

edit: up to 89$ looks like its dead

Yup, should work fine

Yes, it should work, but you're going to loose dual channel if your motherboard supports it.

Dang... That's a good price. I am very tempted, but it's Tiger Direct, so I will pass. Thanks for the notice. I hope memory will fall back to a resonable price soon.

I bought this from Frys.com... Will OnRebate honor the rebate if I buy from another company, but use the same address and credit card?

Basic question, but I've avoided most MIRs for the last few years...

The rebate at frys.com was also OnRebate. Just curious...

No, you might not lose dual channel, but it depends on the motherboard.
If you have the 1GB stick on one channel and the 2X512 on the other it just might work fine.

1x1GB and 2x512MB will dual channel with nForce2 only.

My new nForce4 board says do not run 3 out of 4 sticks, only 1, 2, or 4 sticks.

Onrebate does allow you to get the rebate faster -- will take about 1 week to get it if you choose the express option. Only drawback is it will cost you 10% of the rebate or in this case $5.

depends on your MB ... the ram timings will default to the slower of the two pairs.

EDIT:

oops . . . 1 stick of 1GB and 2 sticks of 512MB wil 'work' in many MBs ... BUT you cannot use them in DC ... . for that you need 2 "pairs"
... e.g. 2 sticks of 1 GB and 2 sticks of 512

Dang, I'm floppin back and forth. They want to stick me for $6.99 shipping on an item that would cost .78 to mail.

Still a good deal even with the shipping and 10% OnRebate vig and I need memory right now for a new machine.

So my final cost would be $62

(flip-flop-flip-flop)

My last two onrebates came easily. The last was for an Ultra PSU that I mailed out less than two weeks ago, I got the PayPal payment two days ago. The $5 option is better, why wait 30-90 days or infinity for an extra $5, sure it's a gouge but who cares if it comes quickly

(flop!)

Me too, dang it. I *hate* paying shipping and I guarantee over the course of the month they will offer free shipping on this, but oh well, I need the memory now.

On the OnRebate rebates, I'll just say I have done quite a number of them now. The NoWait rebates come very quickly, typically about a week after they receive the actual paperwork. The regular OnRebates, for me anyway, take forever. I called just yesterday because I have 3 of them out still that I mailed 08/03. I had to wait on hold almost 30 minutes, but when they finally answered she was courteous and she would contact accounting to get them on their way. We shall see I guess.

Yeah paying the 10% for the NoWait sucks, but in my case it is *well* worth it just to have $$ in hand.

I took the plunge too. I'm making a DVR box and this should make it a bit more happy...

10% OnRebate vig? I need to stay away from this forum. Spending too much money. Already order MOBO for $40 from Geeks.com for new PC that I may not need.

This forum, I need to stay away

People, whatever reputation TD has in the past it seems they came around and got their act together. So all this bad press is not well deserved at all. Sure, they may be a little slow at shipping but they are legit.

I might add that the Onrebate system is the best rebate system that I ever came accross. If you have PayPal and willing to take a $5 hit on your rebate you can obtain your rebate in as little as 3 days. I'm not even kidding. They processed mine as soon as they received my submission. On one occasion they didn't accept my email printout as an invoice, but they immediately sent me an email telling me that I'm missing an invoice copy and sent a link to a re-submittal form. So I sent that along with a copy of the packing slip and it went through. I was just surprise that they didn't invalidate my rebate like so many other company and not tell me about it.

This was a weird one. If I would refresh my cart, or add anything to the cart, it would change to $139 instead of $99. $139 is also the price you get by searching, or from the ad on the TD homepage.

But I was finally able to get it at $99 by going straight to checkout after adding from the OP's link.

Even at $99, that is about market value right now. The rebate makes this a pretty hot deal. I'm one who agrees that Tigerdirect has got their act together on rebates.

Also got the 3% Fatca$h. (Added item from OP's link, closed window. Opened Fatca$h window and immediately checked out.)

Just a word about TD- I bought a processor a few months ago in store, and asst mgr insisted it was different that the one online. Went back a couple of weeks later, bitched to the mgr. He said he would process a 20.00 store credit for me. Went back recently, store credit didn't show up. Bitched to the mgr, he authorized an on the spot credit for the 20.00 (and I didn't have any paperwork with me). Of course it may have had something to do with him looking at my TD buying history.
