Couple of notes...

From their web site CAS Latency: 2.5-3 but the listed price is for 3 only (add $5 for CAS 2.5)
then they indicate the Motherboard Chipset: For Intel, SIS, VIA chipset for listed price (add $6 for NVidia nForce2 chipset & add $10 for AMD 64 systems)

:frown:

which is odd.. cuz ddr 3200 ram isn't even for Intel chips is it? Don't they call their ram something different? If i'm wrong, correct me, I've never owned intel chips.. I'm amd all the way.

Dunno what is so odd. DDR is used in both intel and AMD machines. There was a time where Intel based mobos would only take RDRAM, but that time is long past.

I have 2x512 Corsair VS CL2.5. It's good stuff. I've gotten mine easily to 215 FSB. I hear they can do 230 with the right chips too. It's rock stable RAM

I'm actually trying to sell it to get some TCCD's but very very happy with it.

Any reason not to go with Corsair Value Select 512x2 CAS 2.5

for $145.07 shipped?

Any reason to go with the Samsung RAM?

No reason I can think of, I just put in that very stick of corsair ram (512mb, 3200) into my brothers computer, works great-plus has a lifetime warranty if it ever goes bad. I'd pay a little more for corsair anyday, but if its the same price I would definitely go corsair.

I don't like places that have all the "extra addons" at the bottom. Seems like a way to get someone to want their +$10 cooler +$5 2.5 RAM and +$4 to DOA test it.

AMD was just the first to jump on the PC3200 standard, but Intel has supported it since the 865/875 chipsets, which is over a year.

I second that. I believe Samsung is better than these value sticks from Kingston or Corsair. These "top" name brands use selected Samsung chips in a lot of their high end stuff.

I have purchased a game from Komusa before and they have been around for probably a couple of years now. I trust them and would buy hardware from them in the future.
