1st Post Ever - WD 30GB 7200rpm HD, $29 OfficeMax B&M

Been using this forum for a couple of years now, saw this and thought it might make a good 1st post. Walked into the OfficeMax store in Chandler, AZ (101 & Chandler area) and saw this on the shelf.

Western Digital 7200 RPM, 30GB, Ultra ATA/100. Model WD300BBRTL for $29. They had three on the shelf, I took two up to the register where I was sure they would ring up at a higher price, but they did ring up for $29 each. I just checked Newegg, they are going for $69 on thier site for the OEM drive. This is the retail package.

Sorry, Can't get this scanned for a few hours. On my work computer now, and one of the drives I bought is for the home computer which isn't working and has the scanner attached.

The OM's near me do not have them. They discontinued the 30's a couple of weeks ago. Anyone who finds one should score a great deal since it will be a closeout.

Here in Houston, I got the last one open-box for $29.90 - 10% for being open box. The manager had to go in the back to get it but it still had the manual and the installation disk.

$26.10 before tax - thank-you very much. I can't wait for your second thread .

My first 1 gig hard drive cost almost $400 (like $380ish) now 30 gigs for $30 bux from ~$400 a gig to $1 a gig..... I FEEL OLD!
