Indeed, I hate when people bring up overclocks which were achieved (instably) on extremely sophisticated and expensive cooling when bringing up arguments on which card is better. The arguments that really matter is how much people have OCed stably on stock cooling.
Guess what, you could also use phase-change, liquid nitrogen, dry ice or whatever to cool a 512 7800GTX (or any card for that matter) and bring up the clocks to those insane speeds, does that make the card better? Absolutely not.
