1st smart phone Android or Apple?

never had a smart phone now that Im ready to pull the trigger I torn between Apple or Android, if this Iphone 5 was here I would be doing Apple but who know when it will launch???

All the dual core Droid phones are hitting the market lots of cool hardware lol what to chose????

I just got the Motorola Atrix a few weeks ago, it's running Android 2.3.4. It is my first smartphone and I recommend it. It just depends if you want to buy now or wait and see what else comes out in the next few months.

what do you need your phone to be capable of?
if you only need to make phone calls and text, it doesnt matter which you get.
i personally like the iphone for a few apps which seem to be coming out on droid. and i like the iphone browser. I be more picky about your phone provider than the actual phone itself.

Thanks for the input, I have done lots of reseach and like both very much, just wish the dang Ip5 was out. Think I might just set a date for some time in Dec then order the best joice at the time lol should just do that now....

if you get the iphone you will be happy

if you get an android you will be happy

if you get an android and later down the road you give into all the hype and then try an iphone, you will be unhappy and will do what is needed to get an android phone again

Ive done quite a bit of reading online articles to the point that i personally believe that you could take just about any article written about any phone and then just change the title of it and use it for whatever the next phone will be and make that into the new hands on review for the new phone. Then you read owner reviews and get people who hate it and others who love it. So that does a lot of good. I mean you take the galaxy s2 and some people talk about how the screen has a yellow tint, the gps doesnt work, and how it overheats. Well for a phone that is that expensive i would expect to not see these types of issues. If you go in and play with the phones yourself its like they all pretty much feel and act the same. With the only difference being price. For me im just waiting for some more newer phones to come out so I can get a cheap older phone (probably)

iPhone 5 release has been delayed till october,if you can wait it out but then there are some really nice android phones out there,I have a EVO4G and love it,heard good things about the nexus s also,verizon has some decent moto droids,thunderbolt but the service is over rated and over charged IMO...

If I were starting fresh today I think I'd just go with the iPhone.

My problem is I've got assloads of Android apps I love and no equivalent or free equivalent on Apple.

I got a text from somoene
I replied
I looked again at the person who it said sent the message and the name changed
I called the person who it changed too and asked if they sent me the message and they said yes
I texted the person who my phone originally said it came from and asked how they knew what I was talking about

The phone sent the message to both recipients

This is VERY alarming. On Gingerbread. Never been rooted. I don't install suspicious apps... IMO it is an app with more permissions that should be allowed and the only way I know to choke permissions is to root your phone....

What phones do your friends have? It's definately a plus to have a friend with the same phone. What screen size do you want? 4 years ago, I bought a smartphone based on a smaller screen size thinking it would be best.

Now, I can't wait to get my sausages on a Verizon 4.5" or larger screen. I have no problem with iPhones, but the screens are way too small for me. Even a 4" screen is too small. As it appears the Bionic will be a 4.3" screen, I'll wait for something like the Nexus Prime and see how that looks...

No, i stopped using it. I just get through to it as a mobile user via Dolphin mini. The only reason for the facebook ap for me is to upload photos direclty to folders on my account; since recently i have been staying off FB
