What is this, five Spider-Man movies over the last 12 years? Who actually watches this shit?

What's wrong with them? They are popcorn movies and quite entertaining.

Sony Entertainment owns the right to the Spider-Man movies. The 4 Spidy movies made over $3.3B. (http://screenrant.com/spider-man-sony-marvel-studios-rights/)
If Sony wants to keep the movie rights, they have to pump one out every few years.

And when the formula failed (Spider-man 3, X-Men 3), reboots the franchise.

The DareDevil and Elektra movies failed at the box office. 20th Fox wanted to keep the rights but failed to make a 2nd DD movie, so the rights went back to Marvel.

Marvel is going more "ultimate universe" with it's movies, than 616-universe

I might have been thinking of Shocker in my post. Electro's original costume kinda looks like a Venture Brothers villain, but I still like original costume better than whats in the movie. That Ultimate version you linked looks too derivative of Silver Surfer, but thats still better than the movie version.

Can't exactly have him running around naked the whole film.. so i understand adding clothing to him.

The naked-ness didn't really work well in the movies for Dr Manhattan...

Just dont animate his privates, or give him electric underwear. The hoody looks lame. It works with the Emperor because the dude is awesome, but not so much with Electro.

I've never seen any of those pieces of shit movies, so I'll have to take your word on that. But ASM 1 was surprisingly not terrible, and thus far I feel the same about what I've seen for ASM 2.

I've never seen them either, but from the trailers you can see it's the same emo look and dramatic voice acting.

One thing that has really annoyed me about the movie are the trailers. They basically give away the entire movie compared to the X-Men trailers and Winter Soldier trailers which kept people wondering.

Ya, it's not even close to the shit that is twilight.

I'm not a huge spidey movie fan (for the most part just eh watch them when nothing else is on). But to put them in the same ballpark as twilight. Give me a fucking break.

Agreed, that's what myself and my friends were talking about. I feel like I've seen the entire movie by the last Spiderman trailer alone. All that's missing was the Stan Lee cameo, lol. I'll still go see it though.
