I am trying to build a web server to host the current 10+ sites I have now and to house sites for future use. The type of sites that will be on this machine are ASP.NET accessing an MS SQL server. The reason I want raid 5 is because the sites contain vital business information that, if lost, could put this company out of business. I am just trying to figure out if RAID5 is really the best route. The sites will also be getting uploads on a daily basis of 2mb+ TIFF images which will equate to 10gb per site in the long run, initially it will be less than that.
The server will be colocated at a local facility that I will have access to swap drives in the case of failure. Also, I'm toying with the idea of redundant power supplies, but again, I'd like to know how important that really is. The colocation facility is on that google also houses a handful of servers in, so downtime should = 0.
Currently I have the server bundle from the AMD tech tour and I'm torn over whether I should sell them (I have 2) or sell one and make a server out of the other.

I would need to get the rest of the hardware including ECC ram, Raid card (hardware, not software) and drives, etc.
Questions:
How well will RAID5 work in my situation and is it cost effective?
Is there another solution that might work just as well and cost less?
How relevant is redundant PSU's?
Any comments as to the above information?
What limitations will I have with a 1u or 2u servers? I dont think I can get redundant PSU's in a 1u case.
