Picked up 128MB Sandisk SD card from Costco, today, for $46.99 and went from 7 stored best-quality pics, max, to 135... now the cam might actually be useful .

Well Pilgrim2u look at the begining of this string and you will see that "Mksasquach" gave a good description of how to get these coupons and from their they launch you right into "Office Depots" site. I went to the web tech support and they were able to get the order taken care of. Before you do that though it might be worth your time to insure that a store near you has some in stock and then place your order and do a store pick-up. That's what I did and I was able to get the deal on 1/15/03.

This is my first digital camera and I played with it last night and I feel it is a great deal. Some have voiced an opion that it is a crummy camera. I think they probably have a great deal of experience and are very particular in their tastes. However, this camera does a fine job and does not have a great deal of "noise" in the pictures (remember I do have limited experience). This deal was good. What I mean is, I had the day before went and bought a 1.3 mp Veo brand camera from Compusa for 69.99. I saw this deal and bought the camera and compard the two and which ever was worst was going back. The HP won hands down -- but I kinda expected it to.

I'm using it for CD labels and covers. Whenever I see a cool pattern or design, click it, then you have a cool CD cover and/or label.

So much for that. The camera is worth the effort and dollar. Good luck:Q

woooo they had a problem with my shipping address because i'm having it shipped to my dorm, and when i finally confirmed shipping they were out of stock. so i called my local OD and turns out they had two in stock just went to the OD showed them my order and they let me buy it for the price i bought it for online.

should call ahead and ask the manager if they'll do it. i just gave them the coupon code and got the same price as i did online.

yeah went in tonight... was on "backorder" but they will ship it to my house, shipping is free... they had some trouble applying the coupon because of the item's "backorder" status, but they eventually figured it out... should come in about 5 days or so they said. seems good so far

Just got mine yesterday. Very cool!
The flash isn't super strong, but I'm happy with the picture quality at the medium & high resolution settings. First digital camera, so nothing to compare to. But it looks to be at least as good as the CDs I get made when I develop film.

And it works on linux using the USB mass storage device

It is just average. I have been taking various pics all around. I have a courduroy (sp?) sofa from the 80s. I took a pic with our puppy snoozing on it, and the moire pattern produced by the verticle "lines" of the sofa was mind-boggling. OTOH, the outside pics have been great. I already have a Nikon digital, but wanted something that I dont care what happens to it to carry with me, and this fits the bill quite nicely. If I could only figure out a way to attach a lens cap, I'd be even happier.

Sorry, I'm not up on different types of digi-cam media, but can a regular "Smart Media" card be used in this camera, or does it have to be a "Secure Media" card?

Secure digital or MMC ONLY you cannot mix and match media types. Just like a floppy disk does not work in a CD drive....

I've seen that moire patern also on some striped wall paper. Was pretty funky! Only on the low resolution setting though. Medium & high res didn't show it.
