I think its time to put age limits for government positions. To many boomers(sorry if you offend you) who couldn't operate a simple mic/video call and then we expect them to understand the intricate details of what was happening in the markets. So many soft ball and goofy questions.

No-one over 50 in office. We need young people in office so that when decisions are made they will feel impact of those decisions. Not some decrepit individual who gives no shit about what happens.

Disagree. They have been well-connected since the days Wall Street was "analog". Wall Street is the golden goose of the politician in America.

The difference is just the beauty of what you look at. Because a bunch of young folks can also be "bought" as long as the lobbyist speaks the language.

The young are also raised to believe that government is a magic wand. Advertently or inadvertently, they will make sure the only top earners are themselves and cronies.

Either that or they should be required to pass technical exams to make sure they can understand basic technical stuff. What angers me is things like right to repair and internet related laws. You have all these old guys with a foot in the grave who are making laws about stuff they barely even understand.

Though I think part of the issue is not lack of knowledge but rather corruption. Politicians do not work for us, they work for themselves and the big corporations. The law system including police serves and protects THEM, not us.

I'd imagine that this is a personal beef against some hedge fund manager and an unknown billionaire who doesn't like them. The kids in /r/wallstreetbets don't have the cash on hand to make a stock move like that.
