So the 3000+ and 2.8C would make the most sense for a price/perf comparison.

Actually you can find a boxed A64 3000+ for around US$160 and a P4C for US$155. look in pricewatch

I only buy from merhcants with 9+ ratings.

the only reason why you dont like the athlon 64's is all because of brand bias. believe it or....believe it, the a64's smoke the p4's. i like amd and will always go amd, but i like intel also. i have more reason to like amd then intel and no reason to like intel over amd.

I dont care about name that much, just performance, but I buy from pricewatch and I think I will be able to get the 3000+ to close to 3700 level, they do it at hardocp. I have also talked to a 3000+ w/ abit Kv8 pro that got his to over 2.5ghz, which would definately be close to 3700 level, so thats what im gonna go with.

what about the A64s that cant go over 220 htt without a memory divider...

and i have not seen many A64s break 2.4ghz on air.
