You might want to be careful if you are using an "older" lappy because the USB port might not be able to supply enough power to the drive (it will also depend on the HD power consumption). I believe the IDE HD Enclosure from CompGeeks does NOT come with the PS/2 Power Cable (where the enclosure draws power directly from the PS/2 port of your laptop if the USB can't supply the power)...
btw, does anyone know where you can actually buy separately one of these PS/2 Power Cables (or can someone sell me or give me his/hers if not needed - these are usually bundled with HD enclosures from other online stores). NOTE: You won't need the PS/2 Power Cable unless you have like a Pentium I laptop or something this ancient.
