I've got 2 2.5 sata drives that I want to use for external storage but I have no clue what enclosure to get. Too many to choose from on Amazon. USB 3.0?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Out of all of that, power from the usb port like the seagate external I have now. What are you looking for exactly?
Metal, plastic, need a fan, needs external power brick or has its own power (from USB), does it need to be shock resistance (usually has rubber mounts), and so on...
I think that's a bit over kill for what I need.I have been using the MiniPro enclosure
Was looking at this Sabrent. 3.0 backward compatible to 2.0. I have 1 old machine (USB 1.0 (I have no idea)) Would it not work on that machine if it is 1.0? For $13, it can't hurt to try.I've had luck with a Sabrent 2.5 external usb 2.0 enclosure. It's aluminum except for the end which connects to the 2.5 inch drive. It's still in use today
I'm not sure about the 3.0 usb versions but it seems like Sabrent is still getting decent to good reviews for the most part on newegg.
