NOR is this a dual core 7800GTX. None are in existence.

Yeah if it was 7800GT then it might be.

This is just a single 7800GTX. Yes the prices for their upgrades are horribly overpriced. You could buy it as not an upgrade, but just the card from them directly for less. The upgrade will have as long of warranty as the remainder of your computer, but it'll be just the card, while the other one would likely be the retail box and carry that manufacturer's warranty. Plus it looks like the cards have some extra parts or extended PCB made specifically for the XPS 600.

This is actually looks like a decent deal, since a regular GTX is about $450 and you can plan on probably 50-60% more performance. Plus just having a dual core video card adds at least a couple inches to your e-penis.

While the XPS 600 model has an SLI mobo, the 9100 does not, just a single PCIe slot.

The pictures don't match. It also says 256mb. I have a feeling this is NOT the card, or the descriptions are wrong, or the pictures are wrong.

Most likely, this is NOT the Quad SLI capable card annouced today. It doesn't make sense to start selling them, since they will be exclusive the new XPS.

That extended PCB comes on all the XPS's with SLI. Dell got Nvidia to make them special 7800's so that the other end can mount securely into the front of the case. That way in shipping/transit the heavy weight of the cooler doesn't damage the card. Many server SCSI/RAID cards use a similar mounting method.
